Surgical Orthodontic Treatment in Richardson
There are many reasons we may need to perform surgical procedures in preparation for orthodontic alignment or at some point during your treatment. One or more teeth may need to be extracted in preparation for orthodontic alignment that precedes from inadequate jawbone space to accommodate teeth which can lead to shifting out of alignment. We may also need to perform surgical correction if the jawbones holding the teeth in position are improperly formed. Caught in early stages, we may be able to use growth modification therapy to correct the concern during bone growth. If we’re unable to intervene in these earlier stages, we will likely need to perform surgical correction during orthodontic treatment.
