Crown Lengthening

Crown lengthening is actually a bit of misnomer. While we’re not able to make your existing tooth structure longer to support a dental crown, we can perform one simple soft tissue surgery to reveal additional healthy tooth structure below the gum line. We’ll adjust the amount of gum tissue around the tooth to be treated as well as evening out the soft tissue on surrounding teeth, so the smile does not appear uneven. By revealing this additional tooth structure, we’re usually able to create improved connection between the tooth and the dental restoration, which will lead to increased longevity of the restoration.
